Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Domestic property fire in Rochester
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire on the ground floor of a domestic property on Carton Close in Rochester. Two fire engines were in attendance and crews arrived to smoke and flames issuing from the kitchen at the rear of the property. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and water from a hydrant to tackle the blaze. The exact cause is not yet known.
