Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Kitchen fire in ground floor flat - Sittingbourne
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a chip pan fire in the kitchen of a ground floor flat in Burley Road. Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to tackle the fire and they used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property. All residents were evacuated safety from the three storey building.
