Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Chimney fire - Teynham
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a chimney fire in a house in Lower Road. Crews used a hose reel jet and chimney gear to extinguish the fire. It is believed to have started from a build up of soot and unburnt particles in chimney. Crews advised the owners to get the chimney swept before having another fire.
