A fun packed fire safety day is on offer when Herne Bay fire station opens it doors to the public on Saturday 31 August.
The free event, taking place between 10am and 4pm, will give people the opportunity to come along and speak to crews about both outdoor and home fire safety, while being able to view pictures and other memorabilia from the station’s history.
There will also be displays featuring a variety of rescue equipment, and a chance to look around the fire appliances and the new all-terrain vehicle.
Watch Manager Leon Dyball said; “This is a good opportunity for people to come along and pick up some potentially life-saving tips in a fun and relaxed environment. We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to the station and hope everyone enjoys what promises to be a fun event for all age groups.”
