An exciting day of fun packed fire safety is planned when Ramsgate fire station throws open it’s doors to the public on 28 September.
Running from 10am to 4pm, the free event offers people of all ages the opportunity to come along and meet firefighters in a relaxed setting and pick up some potentially life-saving tips.
Electrical fire safety is the main message of the day with demonstrations highlighting burnt out electrical items and the chance to spot the dangers in a purposely set up hazard room.
There will also be presentations on driving safely in winter conditions, how to create a fire escape plan, and stop drop and roll demonstrations.
Visitors will also be able to look round the station and a fire engine throughout the day.
Ramsgate Crew Manager, Andrew Cook, said: “The event is aimed at all the family with plenty of activities throughout the day to suit everyone. I would encourage anyone interested in learning a bit more about staying fire safe this autumn to come along and pick up some potentially life-saving tips.”
