Complaining about a Member of the Authority
There are 25 Members of the Authority of whom 21 are Kent County Members and 4 are Medway Members. Members of the Authority are expected to conduct themselves in a way that is beyond reproach and in accordance with the Authority’s Code of Conduct for
Members. However, if you believe that a Member has breached the Code of Conduct this note explains how to make a complaint and how your complaint will be dealt with.
The Authority takes all complaints seriously and it is our experience that many complaints can be resolved quickly and effectively on an informal basis. We would welcome the opportunity to help put things right for you at an early stage without the need for a formal
complaint.
