The Investigation
If your complaint is referred for investigation, the Monitoring Officer will appoint an Investigating Officer to gather all relevant facts and documents and interview witnesses. You will have an opportunity to provide the Investigating Officer with any further detailed
information or documents that you consider to be relevant.
At the end of the investigation, a decision will be taken as to whether there is evidence of a failure to comply with the Code of Conduct and, if so, whether to:
- take no action; or
- seek informal resolution; or
- refer the matter for consideration by the Hearings Panel.
You will be notified of this decision, with reasons. There is no right of appeal against this
decision.
