House fire in Sholden, near Deal

Firefighters were called to reports of a detached property alight off the A258 Sandwich Road in Sholden, near Deal. Upon arrival, crews found a well-established fire which had spread to the roof. Four fire engines and a height vehicle responded, and crews in breathing aparatus set about tackling the flames with main jets.

Crews were thankfully able to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby standing crops, however the property was unfortunately completely destroyed by the fire. There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is currently not known.
