Incident
Thatch fire Leaveland
Incident details
KFRS crews have been dealing with a fire in a thatched property in Leaveland, Faversham.  On arrival they found smoke coming from the roof.  Firefighters using breathing apparatus to fight the fire from the inside, creating firebreaks to prevent it spreading within the roof space.  They also used fogspike equipment, that creates a fine water mist to suppress heat in the roof space.  They assisted with salvage and helping make the building safe.
