Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Straw fire in Mote Park
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of straw alight in Mote Park in Maidstone. 
 
Two fire engines and a bulk water carrier were sent to the scene and crews used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the fire, which had spread to approximately 50 tonnes of straw and wood chippings. No casualties were reported the cause is not yet known.
