Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Children's play area set alight in Ramsgate
Incident details
A fire crew from Ramsgate fire station were sent to reports of a fire at the King George VI recreation park on Wickham Avenue, Dumpton near Ramsgate. 
 
Rubber safety matting around the play area is thought to have been set alight deliberately, leading to fire spreading to play equipment. 
 
Firefighters extinguished the blaze using a hose reel jet and made the scene safe. KFRS has reported the damage to the local authority for repair.
