Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Incident
Domestic sheds and outbuilding destroyed by fire - Newington
Incident details
Firefighters were called to Playstool Road, Newington, near Sittingbourne, following reports of domestic sheds and an outbuilding alight. 
 
Crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using a main jet and a high-pressure hose reel jet. One shed was completely destroyed, another almost destroyed and some fire damage was caused to the plastic fascia on nearby homes. 
 
There are no reports of any injuries and the cause, while not confirmed, is thought to have been accidental.
