Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Bedroom fire in Gillingham
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a bedroom fire at a house in Hazlemere Drive, Gillingham. 
 
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze using hose reel jets, before using high pressured fans to clear the property of smoke. 
 
No casualties were reported. 
 
The cause is believed to be accidental.
