Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Fire on yacht in Ramsgate
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire on a yacht moored in the outer harbour of the Royal Harbour in Ramsgate. Three fire engines and the fire launch were sent to the scene, and on arrival crews found a large amount of smoke coming from the 12 metre vessel. The fire was extinguished using hose reel jets and the fire launch boat. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the blaze is believed to have been an electrical fault in the engine of the yacht.
