Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Microlight aircraft crash - Edenbridge
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service has been called to a microlight aircraft that had crashed into and had become stuck in an oak tree approximately 15 feet above the ground in a field near Lingfield Road, Edenbridge. Crews have used lines, ladders and a tirfor winch to secure the microlight. Extraction of the 91 year old pilot from the aircraft in now underway using safe working at height equipment, a tirfor winch and strops. 
 
Update at 17:20 
The pilot has now been released from the microlight aircraft and is being assessed by paramedics.
