Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

House fire - Tenterden
Incident details
Around 35 firefighters with eight fire engines, a height vehicle and a command support unit are dealing with a fire on the ground floor in a three-storey property on Golden Square in Tenterden. 
 
Crews wearing breathing apparatus are using hose reel jets, covering jets and fog spikes to tackle the blaze from inside and outside the property. 
 
Kent Police is attending to provide traffic control and to evacuate neighbouring properties to a refuge set up by the local authority. 
 
There are no reports of any injuries and a cat has been rescued from the property.
