The earlier advice for people living or travelling near, West Hougham, in Dover to keep windows and doors closed is still in place.

Firefighters remain on scene overnight to continue a controlled burn and to maintain a watching brief.

Attendance at this incident has been reduced to one fire engine.

Two fire engines and a bulk water carrier are in attendance and crews have continued to make good progress using wetting agents to reduce flare-ups.
