Assistant Director
Chris supports the director of Response and Resilience in helping to ensure the efficient and effective operational response of Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
This includes practices and procedures including health and safety and ways of working, quality assurance processes, and assisting with the management of corporate governance, projects and objectives. Chris also leads on technical training and professionalism, overseeing all operational training teams, training centre, driver training, digital learning and emergency life support.
Chris also deals with business continuity, resilience and emergency planning, and the development and management of fire control centres with Kent Police. He is also responsible for the management of the external contract with Eurotunnel providing the UK first line of response and British firefighting services for the tunnel.
