The earlier advice for anyone living near Brook Street, in Woodchurch, to keep windows and doors closed, is still in place.

The haystack is burning out under controlled conditions, with crews returning to the scene throughout the day to monitor progress and safety.

People living near Brook Street in Woodchurch, near Ashford, are advised to close windows and doors due to smoke coming from a haystack fire. Drivers in the area are also advised to take care on the roads due to poor visibility. 

One fire engine is in attendance.
