Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a recycling site fire in Manor Way, Swanscombe.
Six fire engines and the bulk water carrier attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the flames.
The Volunteer Response Team were in attendance to support crew welfare.
There were no reported injuries, and the cause is not yet known.
