Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a shed fire which then spread to the rear reception room of a house in Littebrook Manor Way, Dartford.
Three fire engines attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
The Volunteer Response Team were also in attendance to support the occupants.
There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.
