Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire at a house in Carter Close, in Hawkinge, Folkestone.
Three fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using a hose reel jet and a main jet.
One person was handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics after sustaining minor burns to their head.
It’s believed the fire started in a car port and spread to the adjoining house. However, the cause is not yet known.
