Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in a derelict community centre in Northfleet, Gravesend. Two fire engines attended the scene in Wallis Park and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames, before using a high pressured fan to clear the area of smoke. No casualties were reported. It’s believed the fire was caused by a small pile of rubbish that was set alight deliberately.
