The fire is now out and all crews have left the scene. Duty of care has been left with the land owner.
Update at 11am on 17 July:
People living near to Court Lodge Road in Harrietsham, Maidstone, are no longer advised to close windows and doors following a field fire.
One fire engine remains at the scene, where crews are continuing to dampen down any remaining hot spots.

Update at 10am on 17 July:
People living near to Court Lodge Road in Harrietsham, Maidstone, are still advised to close windows and doors while crews continue to work at the scene of a corn field fire.
One fire engine remains in attendance and crews continue to make good progress. The technical rescue unit has also been deployed to help break down the haystacks with a telehandler machine, which could cause some smoke in the area.

People living near to Court Lodge Road in Harrietsham, Maidstone, are advised to close windows and doors due to smoke coming from a corn field fire.
At the height of the blaze, eight fire engines, the technical rescue unit, a fogging unit, multi-terrain vehicles and a bulk water carrier were at the scene.
Two fire engines remain in attendance and crews are continuing to dampen down any remaining hot spots. No injuries have been reported.
The advice to close windows and doors is likely to stay in place overnight, until the smoke from the incident had cleared.
