Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car alight inside a garage in Swanton Road, West Peckham in Maidstone.
Three fire engines attended, as well as a bulk water carrier, and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
One person was passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics and the cause is believed to be accidental.
