Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a roof fire affecting two houses in Marsh Green Road, in Marsh Green, Edenbridge. 

Three fire engines and a height vehicle attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames with hose reel jets and high-pressured fans. 

Firefighters also rescued a dog from one of the properties, and one person was passed into the care of SECamb for suspected smoke inhalation. 

The cause is not yet known.
