Update at 4:00am on 8 November 

The advice for people to close windows and doors due to smoke near Romney Road in #Lydd is no longer in place. Crews have made good progress extinguishing the fire, and two fire engines remain at the scene whilst fire fighters use main jets to dampen down the area. 

No injuries were reported, and the cause is not yet known.

People living near to Romney Road, Lydd, are advised to close windows and doors as a precaution, due to a fire in a derelict railway station.

Four fire engines are at the scene, where crews are working to extinguish the fire.
