Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a shed alight in Darnley Road, Rochester.
Four fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using a hose reel jet and a main jet.
One person was handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics due to smoke inhalation.
No other injuries were reported, and the cause is not yet known.
