Update at 6:40am: 

Firefighting operations are now complete and the earlier advice for people living near Millmead Road in Margate to keep windows and doors closed has now been lifted.

Nine fire engines and a height vehicle attended, and crews extinguished the fire using main jets and hose reel jets.

Two people were passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics due to smoke inhalation, and the cause is not yet known.

People living near Millmead Road in Margate are being advised to keep windows and doors closed due to a large amount of smoke coming from a house fire.

Six fire engines and a height vehicle are in attendance and crews wearing breathing apparatus are extinguishing the fire using main jets and hose reel jets.
