Car crashes into building - Canterbury
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to an incident involving a car that had crashed into a building on A2050 near New Dover Road. On arrival crews were faced with a car that had crashed into the Old Gate Inn public house. The driver of the car was trapped by his injuries including suspected spinal injuries. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof to free the trapped man, who was in his 60s. Crews assisted paramedics and the man was taken to hospital by ambulance. Crews made the scene safe.
