Lorry fire - M20 J8 London-bound
Incident details
Update 3.20pm - Firefighters are still at the scene and are currently carrying out salvage work. A Red Cross Vehicle is also in attendance.
Fire crews used two hose reels to extinguish a fire in the cab of a large articulated lorry, which was on the hard shoulder of the motorway. By 6.40am one fire engine was still at the scene with crews remaining to damp down hot spots in the cab and trailer. The incident was handed over to the Highways Agency at 7.33am.
