Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Crews called to large waste fire in Herne Bay
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a large amount of rubbish alight in Owls Hatch Road, Herne Bay. 
 
Two fire engines and one height vehicle attended, and crews used a main jet to extinguish the flames. No casualties were reported. 
 
The cause is not yet known.
