Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Domestic property fire in Gillingham
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire on the ground floor of a property on Barncroft Drive in Hempstead, Gillingham. 
 
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews found all occupants out on arrival. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze, which had started at the rear of the property, before clearing all smoke from the building with a PPV fan. No casualties were reported and the cause is believed to be accidental.
