Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Domestic property fire in Ramsgate
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to a domestic property fire on Belmont Street in Ramsgate. 
 
Three fire engines and a height vehicle were sent to the scene and crews arrived to a fire on the second floor of the building. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet, a main jet and water from a hydrant to extinguish the blaze. Occupants of the property were evacuated and passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics for precautionary checks. The cause is not yet known.
