Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Fire in Sandwich hotel
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire in a three-storey property in The Quay, Sandwich at around 5.30pm. The fire is believed to have started in ducting in the kitchen and firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used hose reel jets and fog spike to extinguish the fire.  They are still at the scene, cutting away to check for fire spread and hot spots. 
 
There were no reports of any casualties.
