Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Hawkhurst road crash
Incident details
Firefighters from Kent and East Sussex were called to Rye Road, Hawkhurst this morning after a car left the roadway. Crews stabilised the vehicle while paramedics assessed the casualty, then firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to release a woman from her car. They left the scene at 11.45am.
