Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Incident
Person rescued from crash on M2, near Chatham
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a crash involving one car on the M2, near Junction 3 for Chatham. 
 
Two fire engines attended the scene, which was on the London-bound carriageway, and crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle and free one casualty, who was then passed into the care of SECAmb. 
 
Kent Police also attended.
