Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Incident
Woodland fire in Mereworth, near Maidstone
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire in woodland off Seven Mile Lane, in Mereworth, near Maidstone. 
 
Two fire engines and an all-terrain vehicle were sent to the scene, and crews tackled the flames using hose reel jets, flexi packs, water buckets and a fogging unit. 
 
No casualties were reported. 
 
The cause is currently not known.
