Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Goudhurst wood burner fire
Incident details
Firefighters were called to Ranters Lane, Goudhurst this afternoon after the resident discovered his wood burner had caught alight. He made his way out of his home with his family and phoned 999. Fire crews used chimney gear to tackle the small fire and a thermal imaging camera to check for fire spread. They left the property shortly after 4.30pm.
