Serious road crash A259 Romney
Incident details
Firefighters were called to a serious road crash on the A259 Brenzett this morning, involving two cars. They used special rescue tools to access one of the vehicles to access a woman, believed to be in her early 60's. She was then passed into the care of the paramedics and airlifted to a London hospital. 
A man, thought to be in his early 20's was also taken to hospital by ambulance. 
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to the crash which occurred around 10am near to the junction with Ticknerā€™s Lane when the two vehicles, a blue Peugeot 207 and a green Fiat Seicento collided. 
Both vehicles were travelling in the same direction along the A259 from the roundabout with the junction with the A2070.
