Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Crews tackling blaze in Coxheath woodland
Incident details
UPDATE: 4.18pm Firefighters have been tackling a blaze in woodland and undergrowth for over two hours. The wind originally hampered efforts at controlling the fire but crews now have the blaze surrounded and are making steady progress knocking down hot spots. 
 
Fire crews are using flex packs and beaters to tackle a fire in an area of about four acres of undergrowth and woodland in Amsbury Woods, Heath Road, Coxheath. They were called at 2.05pm and two fire engines are at the scene.
