Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Man freed from crash in Folkestone
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service sent three fire engines to a crash involving one car on Dover Road in Folkestone. On arrival crews found a car on its side and a man in his 70s trapped in the vehicle. Crews stabilised the vehicle then used hydraulic cutting gear to gain access to the man. The firefighters worked with paramedics to transfer him into the care of SECAMB. Crews made the scene safe.
