Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Fire in flats and commercial property near Sheerness
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service has been responding to a fire in a two storey property comprising a restaurant and flats overnight. At the height of the fire, five fire engines and a height vehicle were at the scene, and residents nearby were advised to close windows and doors - this has now been lifted. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. There are no reported injuries and the cause is being investigated.
