Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Crews tackle car fire in Rainham
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a car fire that had begun to spread to a nearby garage in Harvesters Close, Rainham. 
 
Two fire engines attended and crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames before making the scene safe. 
 
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the incident is not yet known.
