Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

House fire in Gillingham

Update: 13:00pm 
 
Firefighters have now extinguished the property fire on Moyle Close in Gillingham. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to tackle the blaze, which is believed to have started in a garage before spreading to the terraced house. 
 
One person was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation, before being passed into the care of South East Coast Ambulance. The exact cause is not yet known.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service has been called to reports of a fire in a terraced property on Moyle Close in Gillingham. Four fire engines have been sent to the scene, and crews wearing breathing apparatus are using hose reel jets to tackle the blaze. More to follow.
