Crews have extinguished the fire, and are no longer advising people to avoid the area.

At the height of the fire, three fire engines in total attended. The incident is believed to have been accidental which was due to an electrical fault.

Crews are advising people living or travelling on Brook Lane in Snodland to avoid the area as there is a large smoke plume. Firefighters are advising that people close their doors and windows if you live locally.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service have been called to reports of a large fire in an industrial building down Brook Lane in Snodland. Two fire engines are currently in attendance.

Crews are wearing breathing apparatus and using main jets to extinguish the fire.
