Calling all residents in Eastchurch!

On Thursday 11 April, Eastchurch fire station will be hosting a FREE Spring Open Day. 

Families and friends alike are invited to come along and meet firefighters and staff while taking part in an exciting afternoon full of activities, including The Byrnes Family Show, an activity trail, jump on board a fire engine and lots of opportunities to learn about keeping the whole family safe. 

The Open Day will be open from 2pm to 4pm, spaces are completely FREE but tickets MUST BE BOOKED in advance. If anybody in your family who is attending the Open Day has any additional needs, you are able to enter the event 30 minutes earlier to avoid the crowds. Please just email events@kent.fire-uk.org to let us know. 

As the fire station is small there will be limited tickets available to ensure the safety of all in attendance. In order to attend, it is ESSENTIAL you book your FREE tickets for each member of your family via our dedicated link. Demand for tickets may be high, so if you book yours and find out later that you are not able to attend, please let us know so that we can open up spaces on the waiting list for tickets.

Some things to note before you arrive:
 

• Food and drink - You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to the event, there will however be limited space for sitting to eat
• Photography - There may be a photographer on site so please let a KFRS member at the registration desk know if you don't want to be photographed
• An outside event - Many activities will be held outside, so please dress appropriately for wet/warm weather. If needed, bring with you some extra any essentials with you. 
• No public parking - There will be no parking available due to the venue being a working fire station.  
• Limited toilet facilities - Station are not always large buildings so there may be limited access to toilet facilities and baby change
• A working station - The Open Days are held at working fire stations so there is a chance that the sirens may sound during the day. We ask that you stay close to your children at all times
