Who we are

We are a forward thinking, modern fire and rescue service with a long and proud history.

By working together with our customers, we help to prevent fires and help keep the people of Kent and Medway safe.

With 1500 employees, 56 fire stations across the county and a fleet of vehicles and equipment, we are here every hour of every day, helping customers in their homes, places of work and on the roads. From working with businesses across the county to providing education programmes to schools, we are here for everyone.

We are an inclusive organisation which values everyone, and are run by the Kent and Medway Fire and Rescue Authority, which oversees the services we provide.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service strives to provide the best customer service at all times.
