Our people
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) is run by the Kent and Medway Fire and Rescue Authority (KMFRA) - 'the Authority'. The Authority is the governing body of KFRS and is responsible for ensuring we provide fire and rescue services throughout Kent and Medway.
KFRS is led by our Chief Executive Ann Millington, and a team of directors who are supported by assistant directors.

Our firefighters
Our firefighters are based across Kent and Medway, working at or out of one of our 55 fire stations, or headquarters in Maidstone. Read about our different types of firefighters and what they do.
Control operators
Control operators answer 999 calls and co-ordinate the attendance of fire engines and firefighters at emergency incidents.
Customer safety
Customer Safety help people live safer lives in their own homes, near inland water and on the roads.
Building safety
The Building Safety team works with businesses to help maintain safe buildings and compliance with fire safety legislation.
Internal services
Made up of various teams including Finance, IT, Engagement, Fleet, and People, they support our customer-facing teams and help the organisation run smoothly.
