Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a chimney fire on Knoll Hill in Aldington, Ashford.
Two fire engines attended and crews used flexi-packs and chimney gear to extinguish the flames.
There are no reported injuries.
The cause is believed to be due to an uncleared wasp nest inside the chimney which caught alight due to heat from burning logs.
Crews are reminding everyone to make sure their chimneys are thoroughly swept before lighting fires, especially after a long time without use.
