Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in a property on Canterbury Road in Charing, near Ashford. Four fire engines attended and crews used two hose reel jets and two covering jets to put the fire out. SECAmb and Kent Police were in attendance. The cause of the fire isn't known at this stage and is part of a fire investigation.Kent Police have issued a statement:Police were called to Longbeech Park, Charing at 2.30pm on Tuesday, 9 April 2019 following a report of a fire. A woman was trapped in the property and died.The incident is under investigation and officers will work with colleges from Kent Fire and Rescue Service to establish the cause of the fire.
